Complex and demanding Carricante. And I must say, the best I have tasted so far. It has an overly mineral, nuanced and complex bouquet: sea pebbles, citrus, acacia flowers, and mildew. As you can see, there are almost no fruits. Yet it is still young despite subtle oxidation. It's round and almost perfectly balanced. I would love to taste older vintages, as I've heard Pietra Marina ages beautifully.
